Celtic eye up 23-year-old Liverpool keeper
Celtic are interested in a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward after making an enquiry for the player, according to reports. The Hoops are reportedly interested in a move for the 23-year-old ahead of next season. Bhoys manager Brendan Rodgers could have a fight on his hands to secure his second major signing of the summer after Football Insider reported Ward is closing in on a loan move to Huddersfield.

Swansea set to beat Hoops to Duffy
CELTIC could miss out on Shane Duffy, with Swansea the favourites to sign the Irish defender. Duffy, who played for Ireland during the Euro 2016 tournament, was linked with a move to Glasgow last month but Swansea have been named as frontrunners in the race to snap up the former Everton stopper. Crystal Palace have also been loosely linked with the 24-year-old.

Johansen out for 3 weeks as Galatasaray talks go on
STEFAN Johansen has been ruled out for three weeks, amid reports a fee has been agreed with Turkish giants Galatasaray for the Norwegian midfielder. The 25-year-old limped off during Celtic’s goalless draw against Maribor in Slovenia and has been ruled out for the best part of a month. But reports in Turkey suggest Celtic and Galatasaray have agreed a deal that could see Johansen move to Istanbul for just over £2 million.

Efe keen to fight for place
EFE Ambrose has been linked with moves to Fenerbahce and Bayer Leverkusen - but the Nigerian defender wants to stay at Celtic. Ambrose had looked set to leave Celtic after the arrival of Brendan Rodgers, with the new boss actively seeking defensive reinforcements, but injuries to Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic could hand Ambrose a chance to impress. And the Nigerian international has vowed to ‘do everything’ to fight for his place under Rodgers.

Spaniards baulk at Bitton price tag
ESPANYOL have dropped their interest in Nir Bitton, after being warded off by Celtic’s asking price. Celtic slapped a £10 million price tag on the Israeli midfielder, following reports that the Spanish outfit were preparing a £6 million bid for the former Ashdod man. It is believed that the wages offered were also below Bitton’s expectations, and the 24-year-old looks set to remain at Celtic for the time being.

    Kasey Palmer to Celtic?
CELTIC have been linked with a move for Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer, according to reports in England.
The midfielder, who led Chelsea’s Under-19s to UEFA Youth League glory, was twice an unused sub towards the end of last season, and the Blues are rumoured to be keen on sending him out on loan. And Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, who cut his teeth at Chelsea’s academy, could land the 19-year-old on loan as he looks to bolster his squad.

RONNY Deila has been appointed the new head coach of Valerenga, according to reports in Norway.
The former Celtic boss - who said in May that he wasn’t planning on returning to management in his homeland - will take up his new role from January 1 next year.
According to Norwegian publication VG, Deila will team up with Erik Espeseth, who is stepping down from his role as managing director at Stromsgodset.

    Hoops eye Veldwijk
CELTIC have been linked with a move for Nottingham Forest striker Lars Veldwijk. The 6ft 5in Dutch forward, who is yet to score for Forest in 14 appearances, moved to the City Ground from Excelsior in 2014, where he had scored 30 goals in 38 appearances. But he was farmed out on loan to PEC Zwolle last season, where he netted 14 in 35 games - and Brendan Rodgers could seek to bolster his attacking options by bringing in the 24-year-old.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers to swoop for Jon Flanagan?
Jon Flanagan is wanted by Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, according to reports. The Scottish Sun says Rodgers, who worked with Flanagan at Liverpool, is keen on taking the 23-year-old on loan. However, Liverpool are only willing to enter negotiations if a permanent deal is put on the table.

Forrest out, Duffy in at Celtic?
BLACKBURN are reportedly interested in Celtic winger James Forrest, and are believed to be keen on taking the wideman to Ewood Park, in a move that could see Shane Duffy head in the opposite direction. The Hoops have been linked with the Irish defender, who is also attracting interest from English Premier League clubs.
But Forrest joining Rovers could persuade Owen Coyle to let Duffy move to Celtic in a separate deal. (Various)

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is hopeful of tying up a deal for Aston Villa's Scott Sinclair before Thursday's midnight deadline, but Villa are demanding ÂŁ6m for the former Manchester City man. (Daily Mail)

Rodgers is confident of signing a centre-half in the next 48 hours which would ensure they were eligible to play in next week's Champions League qualifiers, assuming his team get past Lincoln Red Imps. (The Herald)

The former Liverpool manager has defended the pace of Celtic's recruitment strategy, insisting he will not be rushed into revamping the squad he has inherited at the Scottish champions. (The Scotsman)

Hull City are set to beat Celtic to the signing of Reading and Wales defender Chris Gunter. Celtic were first alerted to the defender's availability due to his release clause of just ÂŁ1.1m - a figure less than what Reading paid for him in 2012, believed to be around ÂŁ2.5m. (The Sun)

Stefan Johansen's Norway team-mate Martin Linnes has urged the midfielder to quit Celtic and join Galatasaray. (Scottish Sun)

    No Hoops move for Duffy
BLACKBURN Rovers boss Owen Coyle has insisted that the Ewood Park side have not received any concrete offers for Shane Duffy from Celtic.
Coyle, who lost Grant Hanley to Newcastle earlier this week, said: “In regards to Shane, there’s been no concrete offers from Celtic. If there’s other people speculating, then I can’t really comment on that.
“I only deal in the facts and the fact is there’s been no concrete offer from Glasgow Celtic for Shane Duffy.”

    Hoops ‘could add wildcard signing’
CELTIC missed Thursday’s 11pm deadline to add to their squad ahead of their arduous trip to Kazakhstan, but could add a wildcard signing 24 hours before kick off.
Among the possible signings - who could be pitched into action immediately - are Kolo Toure, Jerry St Juste and Scott Sinclair.
Assistant boss Chris Davies said: “It would be a big boost for us if we could get people in who are going to make a difference.”

Celtic eye up move for Turkish international defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim
Celtic are lining up a potential swoop for Fenerbache full-back Hasan Ali Kaldirim.
Parkhead scouts are reportedly watching the 26-year-old Turkish international who is in his final year of his contract in Istanbul.

Celtic should complete the signing of former Liverpool defender Kolo Toure on Saturday.
The 35-year-old worked under Brendan Rodgers at Anfield and comes in to provide much needed defensive cover.
If he passes a medical, he should be available for Wednesday's Champions League qualifier against FC Astana.
Toure, who played 26 times for Liverpool last season, would become Celtic's second summer signing after the arrival of Moussa Dembele.
The deadline for signings ahead of Wednesday's third round Champions League qualifier was 21 July, but clubs are allowed one "wildcard" signing up to 24 hours before kick-off.
Toure, who has been capped 118 times by the Ivory Coast, arrived in British football at Arsenal in 2002, becoming part of the club's famous "Invincibles" side who remained unbeaten en route to winning the 2004 Premier League title.
He joined Manchester City for ÂŁ14m in 2009, winning another Premier League title in 2012, before Rodgers took him to Liverpool in 2013.

:celt3

Celtic have had a fourth bid - of around ÂŁ2.75m - for winger Scott Sinclair rejected by Aston Villa, with the club relegated to the English Championship demanding ÂŁ5m for the 27-year-old who signed a four-year contract after his move from Manchester City last summer. (Daily Mail)

Irgendwann ist mal gut, mehr als ÂŁ3m wĂŒrde ich fĂŒr Sinclair derzeit nicht hinlegen! Eine interessante Alternative könnte womöglich der hier sein:

Championship transfer rumours: Patrick Bamford to leave Chelsea for a move north?
Former Nottingham Forest striker Patrick Bamford, who had been linked with a move to Aston Villa earlier in the summer, could be on the verge of a move to Scotland. Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is looking to beef up his forward line and sees the Chelsea striker as the key to doing just that. Bamford, who left Forest for Stamford Bridge in 2012, has had various loan spells at the likes of Derby County, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and Norwich City.
