Dundee United have rejected an offer in the region of £900,000 from Celtic for striker Nadir Ciftci. And sources at Tannadice have told BBC Scotland that it would take a bid in excess of £1m for them to part with the 23-year-old.

Nadir Ciftci hat Wigan abgesagt. Es gibt verschiedene Meinungen über ihn unter den Celts. Ich finde den jetzt aber nicht schlecht. Hat gegen uns immer besser ausgesehen als z.b Armstrong und GMS. Und in einer Mannschaft wie unserer wird der noch mehr Kisten machen. Für Europa halt auch nicht der Brüller, aber er weiß in der SPL, wo die Kiste steht.

Rein fußballerisch wäre Ciftci definitiv eine Verstärkung für Celtic! Ähnlich wie Guidetti ist er sowohl physisch als auch technisch richtig stark, und im Gegensatz zu ihm dazu auch noch richtig schnell! Gerade in Europa könnte er, richtig eingesetzt, eine Waffe sein.
Das Problem bei ihm ist aber einfach der Kopf. Nicht nur der Biss im Dundee Derby letzten Mai, auch sonst gilt er als extrem hitzköpfig und schwierig im UMgang, weshalb er auch innerhalb des Utd Teams nicht nur Freunde hatte um es mal vorsichtig auszudrücken. Ob man sich das antun will, zumal er ja nicht der erste nicht ganz pflegeleichte Spieler bei uns wäre, ist eben die Frage.

In a short statement on their website, the Belgian club confirmed they had agreed a fee with the Scottish champions. STV understands the goalkeeper will arrive in Glasgow on Tuesday to complete the deal.

Das hieße dann wohl, dass man Fasan die Zaluska-Nachfolge (noch) nicht zutraut. Dann sollte er aber verliehen werden, denn ein weiteres Jahr als NUmmer drei bringt ihn nichtmehr weiter.

Bailly galt zu seinen Gladbacher Zeiten ja mal als großes Talent, ist dann aber aufgrund privater Probleme (massive Schulden, Verurteilung wegen Körperverletzung) ziemlich abgestürzt und nichtmehr über die belgische Liga hinausgekommen, keine Ahnung wie er sich da entwickelt hat.Sollte er inzwischen gereift und erwachsen geworden sein, und fußballerisch nicht alles verlernt haben, dann ist er als Ersatzkeeper sicher nicht die schlechteste Wahl!

SPANISH TV pundit Petter Veland has played down rumours of Martin Ødegaard joining Celtic on loan - because Real Madrid want the highly-rated youngster to stay in Spain. Veland told Norwegian media that, contrary to reports suggesting Ødegaard was all but set to join Celtic on loan. He said: “The Celtic rumour has been ebbed out completely in the Spanish media.

SUNDERLAND boss Dick Advocaat has dropped his interest in Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk. The Black Cats have been linked with a move for the Dutch star since the January transfer window but the Parkhead side are in no rush to sell the £10 million-rated centre-half who still has two years on his contract. Advocaat is now targeting Zenit St Petersburg defender Nicolas Lombaerts.
