Scottish Premiership handed restart date as top-flight stars cleared for return to training



Scottish Premiership stars will return to training in June with a view to starting the 2020/21 season on schedule in August.

SFA chief Ian Maxwell and SPFL chief-executive Neil Doncaster made a joint presentation how to bring the game out of lockdown to senior public health figures on Friday.

And now top-flight clubs have been given the thumbs up to commence socially-distanced, individual sessions from June 11 - although no decision has yet been made on the lower leagues.

The training date was cleared by Minister for Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing, Joe FitzPatrick, and the National Clinical Director for Scotland, Professor Jason Leitch.

The approval means the Premiership could begin as planned on the weekend beginning August 1, should the resumption run smoothly.

Oliver Bozanic, Clevid Dikamona, Jay Nwanze, Brodie Strang, Craig Levein, Austin MacPhee and Jack Wilson have all left the club following the expiration of their contracts.

In the coming days Donis Avdijaj, Daniel Baur, Marcel Langer, Steven MacLean, Alex Petkov, Kelby Mason, Dean Ritchie, Rory Currie, Ryotaro Meshino, Joel Pereira and Toby Sibbick will depart Tynecastle upon expiration of their contracts or loan deals.

The club would like to thank everyone for their efforts at Hearts and we wish them well for the future.

Da wird ganz schön aussortiert bei den Vereinen..

Ist ja bei uns nicht anders. Mit Hayes wollte man eigentlich verlängern, ein guter flexibler Kaderspieler, den man immer ins Gefecht werfen kann, hat ja durchaus seinen Wert. Aber in Corona-Zeiten überlegt man sich sowas eben zweimal und auch wir schauen offensichtlich, wo wir den Gürtel etwas enger schnallen können. Mit Simunovic war es letztlich ja auch nicht anders, wir hätten die Option gehabt seinen Vertrag noch mindestens ein Jahr lang weiter laufen zu lassen. Aber ein Spieler der so oft verletzt und auf Kunstrasen eh nicht einsetzbar ist ist eben ein Luxus, den man sich in der aktuellen Situation nicht leisten kann oder will.

Das muss in einem gewissen Rahmen ja auch nicht nur schlecht sein, die Verschlankung unseres Kaders ist hier ja schon öfter gefordert worden. Aber wenn diese Krise uns schon so spürbar trifft, dann kann man sich gut vorstellen, wie das bei anderen Vereinen aussieht, deren Etats eh schon immer ziemlich auf Kante genäht sind. Und zum Lachen ist mir angesichts der Auswirkungen dieser Krise auf den schottischen Fußball derzeit ganz sicher nicht.


In diesem Kontext ĂĽbrigens eine durchaus interessante Nachricht:

Jozo war meist verletzt, gut, daß man da auf eine Verlängerung verzichtet hat. Hayes, sicher ein guter Junge, immer mit 110 % mit dabei. Allerdings nie ein richtiger Stammspieler und hat den Durchbruch nie geschafft bei uns. Auch da kann ich mit einem Abschied gut leben. Die nächsten werden vielleicht Bayo und Shevd sein. 6-8 Spieler aussortieren und 4 neue holen. Unter den 4 ist hoffentlich Forster mit im Gepäck. Die Krise wird auch seine guten Seiten mit sich bringen. Keine zu hohen Ablösen mehr und dazu auch noch weniger Gehalt. Und das finde ich schon einmal sehr gut für den gesamten Fussball. Jede Liga in Europa wird die Auswirkungen wegen Corona spüren. Für uns zahlt sich hoffentlich aus, daß wir die letzten Jahre ordentlich gewirtschaftet haben.

Und ganz ehrlich, so lange Misswirtschaft wie bei den Hearts und den Blauen in den letzten Jahren geduldet wird, mache ich mir eigentlich sehr wenig Sorgen um den Fussball in Schottland. Wer kaum Geld hat, aber einen Spieler für 3 Mille holen kann, ja dann läuft etwas gewaltig daneben in Schottland. Vielleicht sollten wir im 10 IAR Jahr auch mal etwas über die Stränge schlagen. Haben wir halt auch mal ein Jahr mit Minus, wen juckt das schon ?
