Celtic striker Anthony Stokes, meanwhile, is a shock target for Greek club Panathinaikos. The Irishman is surplus to requirements at Parkhead and favours a return to English football, where Brentford and Cardiff have expressed interest.
Serbian striker Stefan Scepovic is also a ÂŁ1.5m deadline target for Maccabi Tel Aviv, while Derk Boeriggter is likely to return to the Netherlands with Willem II.

In Schottland heute Abend um 23 Uhr, also 12 MEZ, in England aber erst morgen um sechs Uhr Abends, weil da heute Bank holiday ist und das Transferfenster an einem Werktag schließen muss. Ein Van Dijk Verkauf oder auch ein Wanyama-Deal, der uns nochmal richtig Kohle bringen könnte, könnten also auch morgen noch über die Bühne gehen. Bis morgen Mitternacht müssen dann die Kader für die internationalen Wettbewerbe registriert werden.

Scheint so zu sein. Ich hatte es von HIER (Scotland - August 31, 22:59:59) und es erschien eben auch logisch, weil Bank holiday am 31. nur in England ist. Aber so ruhig wie es den Abend ĂĽber in den Medien zuging konnte da ja irgendwas nicht ganz stimmen.

Van Dijk hat sein medical in Southampton wohl erfolgreich absolviert und sich auf einen Vierjahresvertrag geeinigt, der Wechsel sollte also auch morgen über die Bühne gehen. Wir kriegen erstmal £10m, durch add ons können noch £1.5m drauf kommen.

Die letzten GerĂĽchte sprachen von ÂŁ3.5m plus einer 25% sell-on clause fĂĽr Simunovic (immernoch verdammt viel Geld aber doch weit weg von des gestrigen Mengen) und ÂŁ500k fĂĽr Christie.

CELTIC scouts were reportedly seen attending the match between Malmo and Elfsborg at the weekend, with further reports that the Hoops had sent men to Portugal to take in Benfica v Belenenses. Carlton Cole turns down MLS move in favour of deal with Celtic

Carlton Cole turned down the chance to move to Major League Soccer in order to try and win a deal with Celtic.

STV understands the forward had the option to sign for a side in North America but instead chose to head to Glasgow to try and seal a potential move to the Scottish champions.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila confirmed Cole will train with the club this week with a view to agreeing a contract.

Cole, a free agent since leaving West Ham, is in Glasgow and watched Celtic's 6-0 victory over Dundee on Sunday.

Manager Ronny Deila said: "We will have talks with him and see him in training as well. We will see then if something is going to happen or not.

"I think he is a very good football player. He has shown in the Premier League and in the Championship that he can score goals. He is different from what we have."

Cole was released by West Ham in the summer after nine years with the Upton Park club, and has since been linked with a number of English clubs. The striker's situation, having been a free agent before September 2, means he can sign for any club outside of the transfer window.
