Ich hab für die Saison 14/15 erstmals das sog. Overseasticket gekauft (wurde 2012 eingeführt)

und gelte damit auch als Seasonticketholder (plus Zugang zu CelticTV).

Mein Interesse gilt weniger den 5 inkludierten Heimspielen (weil man für die vermutlich auch auf normalem Wege Karten bekommen wird) als vielmehr der Chance, Tickets für den Away-Sector bei CL- oder EL-Auswärtsspielen (falls die CL-Quali vergeigt wird und wir in die Europa League "absteigen") zu bekommen. Das ist zumindest in der CL vor Ort unmöglich (wahrscheinlich auch in der EL).

Mein Mailkontakt mit der zuständigen Bearbeiterin war sehr nett, sie sicherte mir zu, dass sie mir für alle europäischen Spiele Karten reserviert, falls nicht das Auswärtspunktesystem das verhindere (und das hätte in der vergangenen Saison nur beim Auswärtsspiel in Amsterdam gegriffen). Mal sehen, ob diese Versprechungen eingehalten werden.

Außerdem finde ich die Idee, den von mir bezahlten Platz im Paradise bei Nichtnutzung bedürftigen Celtic-fans zur Verfügung zu stellen, einfach gut. Ich wüsste nicht, dass es eine ähnliche Charity-Aktion bei Bundesligisten gibt.

Auch mein Wunsch, wenn ich denn mal eins der fünf Heimspiele besuche, nicht im Oberrang untergebracht zu werden, werde erfüllt (müssen sie ja auch zumindest dann, wenn der Oberrang gar nicht erst aufgemacht wird). Auch da bin ich gespannt, ob das klappt.

Celtic fan wins £3k compensation after Amsterdam violence acquittal
A Celtic fan arrested during disorder in Amsterdam in November has been awarded about £3,000 by Dutch courts.

John Quigley, 49, was detained when trouble broke out before the champions league match against Ajax. He was later acquitted of violence against police. The compensation includes money for time spent in custody and the cost of his ticket.
Five other Celtic fans were given jail sentences but were released pending an appeal. During the disorder, police made 44 arrests, 28 of them Celtic supporters. Most were later freed, either without charge or after paying a fine.

CELTIC fans were attacked in at least two incidents in a bar in Warsaw last night, according to reports.

One supporter is believed to have been injured in the clashes.
A spokesman for Celtic told the Daily Record that there had been a ‘couple’ of incidents, adding: “We are aware of attacks on Celtic supporters and we are currently investigating these.”
Between 150 and 160 Celtic fans travelled to the Polish capital for the match.
Polish fans have a history of trouble before, or during matches.

Legia themselves were fined over £25,000 after their fans were found guilty of racist behaviour during a match against Welsh side The New Saints last August, and Slask Wroclaw supporters were involved in skirmishes after a Europa League qualifier three years ago against Dundee United, with three arrested.

Celtic fans were also caught up in violence when they travelled to Amsterdam to play Ajax last year, with a pub full of supporters coming under attack by hooligans the night before the match, leading to nine arrests.

Twenty eight Celtic fans were detained the following day after clashes between rival fans and police in the city centre.
Five fans were convicted but are appealing.

Ich finds lächerlich,vielleicht haben die Fans irgendeine Beziehung dazu und wollen lediglich ihre Solidarität zeigen da ist für mich nichts negatives dran zumal auch die gegnerische Mannschaft dadurch nicht angegriffen wird

A UEFA spokesman said: “Celtic and St Johnstone were sanctioned for infringement of Article 16(2)(e).”

UEFA’s disciplinary regulations state: “All associations and clubs are liable for the following inappropriate behaviour on the part of their supporters and may be subject to disciplinary measures and directives even if they can prove the absence of any negligence in relation to the organisation of the match.

“The use of gestures, words, objects or any other means to transmit any message that is not fit for a sports event, particularly messages that are of a political, ideological, religious, offensive or provocative nature.”

Israel-Fahnen im CP? Und Du meinst nicht im Away End?

Kann ich mir ehrlich gesagt kaum vorstellen, allein der Aufstand letztens wegen Bittons Twitter-Post zeigt doch wie eindeutig da große teile unserer Fanszene positioniert sind.

Im Übrigen gehe ich aber auch davon aus, dass die Uefa nicht den Konflikt meint, der in Naost bereits seit Jahrzehnten brodelt sondern konkret den letzten Gaza-Krieg.

Liegt es vielleicht daran, dass Israel ein anerkannter Staat ist, während Palästina international ja noch nicht voll anerkannt ist?
Anders kann ich mir das nicht erklären.

Glaube kaum, dass man bei einer israelischen Flagge eine Strafe bekommen würde. Sonst müsste man ja bei jedem Länderspiel die große Keule anwerfen.

Aber nicht jedes Land befindet sich aktuell in einem politischen Konflikt. Die Frage wäre zum Beispiel ob es momentan erlaubt wäre, Ukraine Flaggen mit ins Stadion zu bringen. Oder sie berufen sich zusätzlich noch daraf dass die Palästina Flagge ja keine offizielle Staatsflagge ist, dann wären demzufolge im Moment zumindest auch Kurdistan Fahnen etc. verboten.

Section 111 Reopening

CELTIC can confirm that we plan to re-open Section 111 in the North East lower corner of the Stadium to season ticket holders, beginning with the forthcoming match against Motherwell to be played this Sunday, September 21.
The reopening follows a period of positive discussions with former Season Ticket holders within the section, during which it has been agreed that the safety of spectators must always be of paramount importance and that the reputation of the Club and its supporters must be protected at all times. As is the case with all fans attending Celtic Park, compliance with ground regulations, competition rules and the law must be observed. Celtic considers this move to represent significant progress in fan engagement and acknowledge the role played by supporters from the Section who have agreed to work with the Club to provide positive backing for the team in a safe environment, with further agreements in place that any breaches will result in a review of Section usage.
The Club was instrumental in establishing this section for supporters and we look forward to working together to ensure its long-term success in providing strong positive backing for Celtic manager Ronny Deila and the team.
