CELTIC are poised to swoop for Israeli keeper Dani Amos.
Hoops chief scout John Park flew to watch Amos, 25, train with his national team this week.

The No1 has been outstanding as his club Kiryat Shmona have raced 14 points clear at the top of the Ligat Ha'al.

Amos is in line to land the Player of the Year award after conceding just 12 goals in 27 matches.

That alerted Parkhead bosses and Park went to last night's friendly where Israel lost 3-2 to Ukraine, but Amos was a substitute.

South-African born Amos also has an EU passport, which appeals to Celtic.

We told yesterday how the Hoops were also keeping a check on Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Raul Fernandez.

They are preparing for a summer keeper swoop as the chances of keeping on-loan Newcastle star Fraser Forster appear to grow slimmer by the day.

Forster was omitted from Stuart Pearce's England squad for their friendly with Holland last night.

And he may be eyeing a move back down south in the summer to improve his national team chances.

Elsewhere, the Sun say that striker Pawel Brozek will likely return to Turkish parent club Trabzonspor after making just two substitute appearances since January for Celtic. The Express reports that Morten Rasmussen, another Celtic striker who has seen little playing time, was due for a move to Norwegian side Aalesund, but is staying put at Parkhead after claims from Aalesund president Bjanrne Haagensen that his agent fudged the move. Haagensen said: “We had agreed the move with Celtic for a reasonable transfer fee. But then along came his agent and destroyed the move. It’s very frustrating.”

ich hoffe auf Forster - guter Goalie zu einem erschwinglichen Preis - 24 Jahre jung - das wissen wir was wir an ihm haben. Der hat sich bei uns schon sehr gut entwickelt und ich vermute einmal, der WILL AUCH BEI UNS BLEIBEN und bereut heute schon, dass er dazumal den Vertrag bis 06/2014 abgeschlossen hat.

Hat aber Vertrag bis 2015, gĂĽltig fĂĽr 1. und 2. Liga.
War diese Saison eigentlich durchgehend mit muskulären Problemen am hadern, hätte sonst vielleicht als einziger die Bezeichnung Angreifer beim FCK in dieser Saison verdient gehabt.

Hat mich eigentlich nie überzeugt, dachte der schlägt wirklich ein... Denke wir sind vorne mit Hooper, Stokes und Samaras gut besetzt und alle drei sind eigentlich wenig verletzungsanfällig. Rasmussen müssen wir wegschicken und Brozek wird auch nicht gekauft denke ich. Über Bangura kann ich leider wenig sagen. Denke wir sollten noch einen Striker holen, allerdings nicht gerade Shechter.

The 32-year-old keeper spent five successful years at Parkhead before moving to Fiorentina in a ÂŁ2million deal back in 2010.
His contract with the Serie A side expires in the summer but they have an option to extend that by a year.
However, Fiorentina are fighting relegation at the moment and no decision will be made until they know the outcome of that.
Hoops gaffer Neil Lennon could be looking to sign an experienced No.1 if Fraser Forster opts out of a £2m move from Newcastle – and Boruc is preparing for all eventualities.
The Pole told MailSport: “Of course I would go back to Celtic. I miss a lot of things about Parkhead and living in Glasgow.
“If someone from Celtic ever wants to have a discussion with me about the possibility of it happening sometime in the future then I will listen. Who knows what will happen? It would be nice to think that it might happen for me again there one day.
“But right now my focus is on helping Fiorentina stay up.”
Boruc was a team-mate of Lennon’s and played under him for a short period.
He was delighted to see Lennon lead the club to SPL glory this season and said: “It wouldn’t be a problem for me to work for Neil. I respect him and rate him.
“He is a great motivator and was always a leader. He was the captain when I joined Celtic and was helpful to me. Neil helped educate me in terms of what it was all about being a Celtic player.
“I’m delighted that he has won the league this year.
“It is not easy to win the SPL and it’s great he has driven the club on again. I hope Celtic now get back into the Champions League.”
