Hoops to make new bid for Berggreen
CELTIC are set to make a new bid for Eintracht Braunschweig striker Emil Berggreen after it emerged the German side had knocked back a ÂŁ2.25m bid for the Dane on deadline day.
The 22-year-old was the subject of a last-minute bid from Celtic, with Hamburg and Werder Bremen also keeping tabs on the forward.
He has scored four goals in 8 matches so far this season. (Daily Record)
NâSakala confirms Celtic talks
FABRICE NâSakala has revealed that he held talks with Celtic over a potential move during the summer, but nothing materialised.
The DR Congo international, currently with Belgian outfit Anderlecht, said that he had also had talks with French side LOSC Lille, but âfinancial situationsâ prevented anything from happening.
âThis summer I sat around the table with Celtic. Also Lille was interested. A loan spell was a possibility, but it all came to nothing because of financial situations,â said NâSakala. (Voetbalkrant)
Wilson set to join Hoops on loan
MANCHESTER United striker James Wilson is set to join Celtic on a loan deal until the end of the season in January, according to reports.
The England Under-21 forward has played just once for United this season and Louis van Gaal is said to be happy for the 19-year-old to get some game time elsewhere.
Wilson will join up with Old Trafford team-mate Tyler Blackett and former United starlet Saidy Janko. (Daily Mail)
Rangers join Souttar race
RANGERS have been linked with a move for Dundee United defender John Souttar, just days after reported interest from Celtic.
The 19-year-old, who can play in defensive midfield or central defence, has been courted by the likes of Arsenal, Southampton and Sunderland, with United accepting a ÂŁ600k bid from the latter only for Souttar to knock it back.
Rangers are reportedly on the lookout for defensive cover, with Souttar mentioned as a possible target. (Various)
