CELTIC Football Club last night confirmed that Scott Sinclair has signed for Preston North End after completing his medical at the Championship club. The 30-year-old winger joined the Hoops in August 2016 from Aston Villa and was an immediate hit after coming off the bench to score on his debut against Hearts at Tynecastle in the first league game of the new season. That, of course, was the first game of what turned out to be the Invincible season as the Celts lifted the first instalment of the Treble Treble – the opening title of the trio clinched in another game at Tynecastle as Sinclair netted a hat-trick in a 5-0 win. His debut strike was the first goal of 62 scored in 167 games for the club and he swept the boards in the club, PFA Scotland and SFWA Player of the Year awards that first season. Indeed, in his second season, Sinclair was the club’s top scorer despite not being an out-and-out striker.
Everyone at Celtic Football Club wishes Scott and his family all the very best in their time down at Preston.
