“It’s probably a bit early for him to play, so we think if he stays at home, he can get a few extra sessions fitness wise and then we’ll have a look at that and assess it on Monday.
“If we find his fitness levels are good enough, he’s an option [for Wednesday].
“It depends how he comes through the next few days’ training.”
Kennedy said: “Erik hasn’t travelled over and we will see how he is over the next couple of days.
“It’s better for him to stay at home and get some treatment with a view to Wednesday’s match.
“Jozo was out on the pitch, so that was good to see.
“It’s probably the first time he’s been out and been finding himself closer to the group.
“He has been out a long time and needs time to get his level back up to the point where he can join back in with the group.
“But the signs are very positive and he’s very happy with how his rehabilitation has gone, so fingers crossed that he will be back again in a few weeks time.”
