Nun ist es offiziell:
Champions look to the future with new home kitCELTIC will open a new chapter in their long and illustrious history with brand new home kit for the 2013/14 season. After a momentous 125th anniversary campaign, notable for an impressive league and Scottish Cup double, a stunning UEFA Champions League victory over the mighty Barcelona and qualification for the knockout stages of the tournament, Neil Lennon´s side have their sights fixed firmly on the future, represented by quality players like Kris Commons and Joe Ledley, as well as exciting emerging talents such as Tom Rogic and Tony Watt, and a new contemporary on-field look for the new season.
As legendary Celtic manager Jock Stein once said: “We don’t want to live with history… We must make new legends.”
On the new home shirt, each of the club’s iconic green hoops is made of up seven smaller hoops, inspired by some of the club’s greatest players, such as Jimmy Johnstone and Henrik Larsson, who both wore the No.7.
The shirt features a modern crossover v-neck collar, whilst a woven label inside the neck features a quote from former Chairman Sir Robert Kelly - ´This Celtic Football Club is much more than a football club. To a lot of people it’s a way of life.´
The new home shorts are white, with a green stripe down each side, and the white home socks feature the new hoop design, with seven fully-engineered thinner hoops as featured in the shirt.
Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “We are delighted to launch our new home kit today, together with our global partners Nike and Magners. We thank both organisations for their continuing support.
“As Scottish champions and Scottish Cup holders, and with the club in magnificent shape off the field, we look ahead to next season with confidence.
“We enjoyed fantastic support from our fans last season. We aim to continue to deliver success and we are sure there will be some exciting times ahead for our fans once again.”
Paul Condron, Marketing Director of Magners , said: “Magners and Celtic share many values, including a strong Irish heritage and a track record of success at home and abroad.
"Today marks the start of our partnership with the club through the launch of the new Magners branded kit. We look forward to working with Celtic and Celtic fans in the coming years to play our part in the club’s exciting future."
Ich bleibe dabei, nicht mein Geschmack, das hässlichste Trikot seit langem! Mit diesen kleinen weißen Streifen kann ich mich einfach nicht anfreunden.
