International play Bhoys jet off around the worldTHE Celtic squad has dispersed this week, with a number of first-team players going away on international duty to represent their nation.
Some of the players will be travelling further afield than most, with Efe Ambrose and Victor Wanyama both returning to Africa. AmbroseÂŽs Nigeria will take on Liberia in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers while Kenya will play South Africa in a friendly.
Emilio Izaguirre and Miku will both head back to South America, with IzaguirreÂŽs Honduras set to play Panama and Canada in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Miku will represent Venezuela when they take on Ecuador in the same tournament.
Closer to home, Georgios SamarasÂŽ Greece take on Bosnia at home before travelling away to Slovakia. Mikael Lustig has joined up with the Swedish squad for their trip to the Faroe Islands while Paddy McCourt travels to Portugal with Northern Ireland.
Fraser Forster also meets up with the England squad for the first time this week, preparing for their World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland.
Meanwhile some Celts could come up against each other on Friday evening when Wales welcome Scotland to Cardiff for their Group A qualifier. Joe Ledley and Adam Matthews are in the Welsh squad, and are set to face Scott Brown, James Forrest and Charlie Mulgrew. Wales then travel to Croatia next week while Scotland go to Belgium.
Thomas Rogne has been called up to NorwayÂŽs Under-21 squad again, while Callum McGregor received his first U21 call cup for Scotland. He will be joined by Tony Watt and Dylan McGeouch for the Marbella Cup, where they will face USA and Canada in Spain.
Jackson Irvine has been named in AustraliaÂŽs squad for their training camp in Portugal while four Celts are in the Scotland U19 side for the UEFA European Championship qualifiers. Joe Chalmers, Stuart Findlay, Marcus Fraser and John Herron will join up with the squad while Jamie Lindsay, Michael Miller and Lewis Kidd are on stand-by.
Jordan Hart, Mark Barrowman, Calum Waters, Luke Donnelly, Liam Henderson, Connor McManus and Paul McMullan have all been named in ScotlandÂŽs U17 squad for the training camp in Falkirk while the U16s include Connor Cullen, Jamie McCart, Scott Lochhead, Ryan Caird and Connor McLaren.
