The German shot-stopper has teamed up with the Hoops Development Squad and with Leo Fasan over the age limit, he is set to feature in the European matches. There´s a lot of excitement surrounding Oberschmidt´s future, with him being dubbed ´the new Oliver Khan´ in his homeland due to his ability between the sticks, and he was recently boosted by a contract extension at Fulham until June 2014.
Jordan Hart
Hart joined Celtic at the age of eight and worked his way through the ranks at the club. He featured for the U17s last year, including the Glasgow Cup final against Rangers, but started to push his way into the U20 squad towards the end of the season, competing with Leo Fasan for a place between the sticks. He has also represented Scotland at youth level, featuring for the U15s, U16s and U17s.
DEFENDERS
Jack Breslin
Central defender, Jack Breslin, signed in March 2011, making the switch from Clyde. He initially played with the U16s before working his way into the U17 set up and being named as an unused substitute in the Glasgow Cup final. He has also featured for Scotland´s U17 side, and has begun pushing his way into the U20 set-up in recent weeks.
Stuart Findlay
Central defender, Stuart Findlay, is a promising talent in the Hoops´ Youth Academy. He was included in Neil Lennon´s starting XI for the testimonial against Norwich City in May 2012 and continued to impress as a regular in the U20 side last season, often bearing the responsibility of the captain´s armband. He has also earned a couple of call-ups to Billy Stark´s Scotland Under-21 squad but is yet to make an appearance at that level.
Fiacre Kelleher
Fiacre Kelleher joined Celtic in December 2012 and initially joined up with the U17 squad. The central defender is a youth internationalist with the Republic of Ireland and has represented them at U15s and U17s level. He made his first start for the U20 side this season at home to St Johnstone and impressed with his strong and commanding performance.
Jamie McCart
Jamie McCart plays in central defence and scored the winning goal against Rangers in the Glasgow Cup this week. The Hoops came from behind to win 2-1 in the second match of the tournament, and the central defender´s 25-yard strike was a fitting way to seal the victory. This is only his second season at the club, having signed for Celtic´s Youth Academy in August 2012.
Aiden McIlduff
Youth prospect, Aiden McIlduff has been at Celtic since he began his football career, signing for the club in August 2007. He was just 11-years-old at the time and has worked his way through the ranks and into the U20 squad this season. He started his first match at that level a fortnight ago when he played against St Johnstone in the 2-2 league draw but also played a big part in the U17s´ win against Rangers in the Glasgow Cup this week.
Eoghan O´Connell
Central defender, Eoghan O’Connell comes from Cork and has become an vital component of the U20s in recent months. With Marcus Fraser out injured he quickly became a regular in the starting XI midway through last season and his confident and mature performances helped him make the position his own.

MIDFIELDERS
Luke Donnelly
Donnelly joined Celtic at the age of eight and plays in midfield, but can also sit off the striker which he did in the U20 game against St Johnstone earlier this month. He played in the Bassvelde tournament which Celtic finished third in, won the Galway Cup in 2012 and played in the 2012 and 2013 Glasgow Cup finals. He also represents Scotland at U17 level.
Liam Henderson
Henderson joined Celtic from Hearts in 2008 and won the Galway Cup in 2012 and played in the Glasgow Cup final both last season and the year before. The central midfielder is a Scottish internationalist, and captains the U17 side. He was included in the first-team squad for the pre-season trip to Germany this summer and impressed so much he was kept out a week longer than first planned.
Lewis Kidd
Central midfielder, Kidd, had an excellent campaign last season, playing alongside former Motherwell team-mate, Jamie Lindsay. He did well to slot in and keep up the good work Callum McGregor and Jackson Irvine did in that area before him and was rewarded with regular involvement at U19 level for Scotland.
Jamie Lindsay
Lindsay began his career at Motherwell, but it wasn’t long before Celtic secured his services and helped him develop through their ranks. The midfielder was a regular in the U20s last season, helping them secure the double for the fourth consecutive year. He also has a tendency to strike long-range shots as well.
Connor McManus
McManus is a versatile youngster who is comfortable in both midfield and at the back. He joined Celtic in 2005 and is a current Scotland international youth player. McManus slots into central midfield alongside Liam Henderson and his performances at U17 level has seen him not only feature in more U20 games but also train with the Development Squad at Lennoxtown.
Joe Thomson
Midfield prospect, Joe Thomson, has been with Celtic since the summer of 2009 when he signed from Rangers. He began to work his way into John Kennedy and Stevie Frail´s U20 plans last season, but at 16-years-old he can still play in the Glasgow Cup, and was a stand out in the 2-1 win against Rangers last week.
FORWARDS
Steven Boyd
As one of the youngest players in the youth squad, 16-year old Steven Boyd has worked his way through the Academy. He has been on the books with Celtic since the age of eight and is beginning to establish himself as a regular attacker in the U17 side.
Denny Johnstone
Scotland U19 internationalist, Denny Johnstone is the grandson of former East Fife and Queen of the South player Bobby Black. The striker found himself being used as a substitute more often than a starter last season but has began to stake a claim for the U20s this season, bagging the first goal of the campaign in a 1-0 win over Dundee United.
Scott Lochhead
A stand-out in last week´s 2-1 win against Rangers in the Glasgow Cup, Scott Lochhead converted the opening goal of the evening from the penalty spot. The striker can also play wide on the wing supporting the strikers.
