Positive scan results for James Forrest
THERE was good news for James Forrest following the blow he took to his right calf late in the game against Kilmarnock on Sunday. Results from a scan showed the 20-year old has only received bruising to the soft tissue. Gary Hooper, who had to come off with 10 minutes remaining in the League Cup final, suffered a dead-leg while Paddy McCourt missed the Hampden squad because of a stiff back. Assessments will be made on all three players later in the week, ahead of Sunday´s league clash with Rangers. Meanwhile, long-term absentees, Beram Kayal, Daniel Majstorovic and Mo Bangura are all on schedule with their respective rehab programmes.

Forrest is Scotland's young shining star
JAMES Forrest has joined team-mate Charlie Mulgrew in the shortlist for this season´s PFA Scotland Player of the Year awards after being nominated in the Young Player category.
The 20-year old, who has had an outstanding season at Celtic, faces competition from St Mirren´s Kenny McLean and Dundee United duo, Johnny Russell and Gary Mackay-Steven.

Absolut verdient! Die anderen Kandidaten wären übrigens auch allesamt durchaus interessante Spieler für unser Team...

Frustrated James Forrest's campaign will leave him unfulfilled like Celtic mates
JAMES FORREST'S season mirrors Celtic's campaign in a way which does anything but leave it in a good light.

Sure, the talented 21-year-old is about to collect his second SPL championship medal – and might not even need to kick another ball to get it.
There remains the prospect of a league and cup double, if that Hampden record can be improved this weekend then again on May 26.
And a European experience never to be forgotten has also been a major component of the season for the club and young winger.
But when it is all analysed, there is a residual frustration that it all could have been that bit better.
