Karamoko Kader Dembélé, c’est fait!
Le Stade Brestois est heureux d’annoncer la signature pour 4 saisons de Karamoko Kader Dembélé (19 ans). Formé au Celtic Glasgow, avec qui il a paraphé son premier contrat professionnel à seulement 15 ans, il va maintenant tenter de passer un cap dans la formation de Michel Der Zakarian.

Former Celtic defender Mark Wilson reckons pressure played a big role leading up to the teenage sensations' Parkhead departure. Dembele burst onto the scene as a 14-year-old who attracted the attention of Man City and Barcelona after video's emerged online of the attackers talents in the Hoops youth set up. By the age of 16 he was tipped to 'revolutionise football' but now six years on he leaves Parkhead with only eight first team appearances to his name after completing his move to Stade Brest. Wilson believes that he goes to France with a point to prove, not only to try and prove he can hack it at first team level but also live up to the early hype and pressure put on him.

The former Parkhead Academy star found opportunities hard to come by under Postecoglou due to a combination of injuries and being left behind in the pecking order. The Aussie gaffer only played the winger in one competitive game, coming on off the bench against Dundee United at Tannadice. Earlier this week, Dembele completed his move away to Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois. Much was expected of Dembele after footage emerged of the then 13-year-old dazzling in the Hoops youth set up, even making his under 20s debut at the age of 13. But ultimately, he couldn't live up to the early hype after only eight appearances in a three year spell in the first team.
