Ansonsten gehts wieder mehr um Abwehrspieler, Hooiveld soll angeblich ausgeliehen werden (Celtic defender Jos Hooiveld heads for Copenhagen loan) und da Wilson nach wie vor nicht weg darf (Davies won't let Wilson leave) versuchen wir momentan wohl ne Leihe von diesem Faye von Stoke (Celtic and Burnley competing for Stoke stopper).

Seriously, if we're going to be buying English 2nd division players, why don't we just shop in the SPL?

For all the goal-counters, Conor Sammon has scored 16 goals in 24 games for Killie, none of which were penalties. He's tall, strong and mobile. He's available for half of Austin's fee and already knows the league.

Or there's Chris Maguire, a Scotland under-21 international, he's a Celtic fan and Aberdeen can't afford to keep him.

I don't really think these guys are good enough, but if we're going to be looking at players in the English 2nd division, why not?

Ganz stimmt des net,Hooper spielte letzte Saison bei Scunthorpe in der 1.Divison die sind ja erst jetzt in die Championship aufgestiegen.
Aber das heisst net das mann dort jetzt reihenweise spieler holen muss,vorallem net von Swindon die um den Abstieg kämpfen.
Ich darf auch dran erinnern das viele der User hier auch z.B den Sammon wollten,ich persöhnlich würde aus der SPL nur junge spieler mit perspektive holen oder halt erfahrene spieler wie damals Robson und Hartley die,die maschine nochmal zum dampfen gebracht haben.

Wenn ich richtig informiert bin ist Sammon gerade erstmal 23 Jahre alt. Da wir uns wohl einen Stürmer für 2 Mille nicht leisten können , müssen wir eben nach solchen Spielern Ausschau halten. Und Hooper hat auch schon in der Saison 2009/10 für Scunthorpe in der Championship gespielt. Er hat somit ein Jahr in der Championship gespielt und ist dann zu uns gewechselt.

Ich würde einen Sammon auch eher nehmen als die beiden anderen genannten. Es sind ja noch ein paar Tage Zeit, unser Lenny hatte bisher, was die neuen Spieler angehen ein richtig gutes Händchen.

Other notable strikers to have moved on from Scunthorpe United in recent years are Martin Paterson, Jermaine Beckford and Gary Hooper, the latter who moved to Celtic F.C for a fee of ÂŁ2.4 million.

Immerhin können wir bald schonmal Hooivelds Gehalt sparen, der Deal für eine sofortige Leihe plus Option scheint wohl relativ fix zu sein. (Hooiveld turns down AIK return for Copenhagen loan)
Damit könnte man es dann nochmal bei Wilson versuchen, oder man leiht jemanden bis zum Sommer aus (Davies von Villa, Faye von Stoke) (Celtic eye stoppers after Jos Hooiveld seals loan) wobei ich eigentlich kein Freund solcher Deals bin. Dann müssen das schon richtige Knaller sein...
Samaras richtet sich wohl auch schon auf seinen Abgang ein (Interest in Celtic striker Samaras grows) was in Anbetracht unserer Stürmersuche ja auch nachvollziehbar ist. Bevor wir Philips allerdings seine Rente finanzieren wäre ich doch definitiv auch eher für einen Sammon Deal! Vaughan immerhin ist unbestreitbar talentiert, wenn auch nicht unbedingt mein Wunschspieler. (Celtic chasing TWO Premiership strikers)

Reports are suggesting that Vaughan has been allowed to leave on loan with a fee of 250´000 paid for his services until the end of the season.

Dimitar Markriev, the 6ft 4in Bulgarian international centre-forward, has admitted that he is relishing speculation over his move to Celtic. The former Inter Milan striker, who plays for FC Ashod in Israel, has been linked with a £550,000 transfer to Parkhead after being identified as a potential signing by the Celtic scouting network which recommended Beram Kayal to the club last summer. Markriev has been a prolific scorer in his three seasons at Ashod and yesterday welcomed talk of a move to Glasgow despite being under contract to his club until the summer of 2012. “My name is being connected with Celtic and, if that happens, it will be great for me,” said Markriev. “The president of the club is a very nice guy and he will understand my wishes. “This is an important period for my career. Hmmm, ich geb ja nicht viel auf Gerüchte, aber dass da nur Stürmer auftauchen, IV Wilson wohl nicht im Januar kommt und IV Hooiveld weg ist, stimmt mich schon ein bisschen nachdenklich - auch wenn die Formation Wilson - Majo - Rogne - Emilio gut funktioniert hat. Aber was passiert bei einer Verletzung? Emilio und Wilson können durch Cha und Ledley ersetzt werden, aber die beiden IV? Da ist dann nur noch Loovens da!

Ein neuer Stürmer reicht mMn. Ich persönlich hätte nämlich nix dagegen, wenn Stokesey und Hoops unser Sturmduo bilden.

Sammy, Murph und ein neuer als Back-Up aber dann reicht es auch.

Oder ist ein Abschied von Sammy schon im Winter doch eingeplant?

Misun kann doch auch IV spielen oder? Ich denke wir leihen Curtis Davies bis Ende der Saison aus, aber an Majo und Rogne wird der wohl erstmal nicht vorbeikommen. Btw: Juarez kann ebenfalls als Rightback spielen.
