The supporters group unveiled a banner at the club's Lennoxtown training base that read 'Lennon out' two months after first calling for the Irishman to go before their Europa League clash with Sparta Prague. The Green Brigade state Lennon remaining in charge is doing no one any good ahead of a potential summer rebuild in the wake of their failed pursuit of 10 In A Row.

Über die Wortwahl kann man immer streiten aber im Kern haben sie einfach einen Punkt. Was ist aus dem letztes Jahr versprochenen January review geworden? Was waren seine Ergebnisse, wie stellt man sich die Zukunft vor? Die Kommunikation der Führungsetage gegenüber den Fans, die aber trotzdem weiter fleißig season tickets kaufen, Celtic TV abonnieren etc sollen, ist einfach unterirdisch zur Zeit!

Womöglich wäre tatsächlich einiges anders gelaufen in dieser Saison, wenn wir regelmäßig 50-60k Zuschauer im Stadion hätten. Ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass die Chefetage eine ähnliche Strategie des Aussitzens hätte fahren können, wenn sie Woche für Woche den geballten Unmut der Fans laut und deutlich zu spüren bekommen hätten. Aber diese Möglichkeit der direkten Kommunikation fehlt einfach, viele Fans fühlen sich ungehört und jetzt bekommt ihre verständliche Wut und Enttäuschung mehr und mehr eine Eigendynamik.

Ich gebe dir Recht. Auch ich kann es nicht mehr hören, wenn uns Corona besonders stark getroffen hat. Ich glaube aber auch, dass mit einem vollen Stadion Lennon nicht mehr im Sessel sitzen würde. Auch glaube ich, dass den Hunnen der „genommene“ Druck durch eigene Fans etc schon etwas entgegen kommt.
Dennoch haben alle mit dem gleichen „Mist“ zu kämpfen.

Unfortunately a small group, which was given access in good faith, has attempted to exploit this opportunity, taken advantage of an occasion intended for our Club captain, Scott Brown, and used it for a different purpose. Clearly this is unacceptable and the display was immediately taken down by the Club.

Ich muss sagen, in dieser Sache neige ich tatsächlich eher der Haltung des Clubs zu. Bin auch sonst kein Freund davon, wie einseitig die GB den Naost-Konflikt rezipiert und halte vieles davon für eine Überidentifikation, die der Komplexität der Situation dort nicht gerecht wird. Zum heutigen Anlass finde ich das aber wirklich nochmal besonders unpassend.
